February Events

The New Vienna Library will be celebrating the month of February with some exciting events and crafting opportunities for our patrons. On February 1st our popular “Blind Date with a Book” event returns. Check out a “date” to see if it will be love at first sight. Each book checked out comes with a chocolate. On the same day, the library will also be starting a guessing contest for adult patrons. The person who comes the closest to the correct number of candies inside the jar will win a gift basket and the candy jar. A winner will be selected just after Valentine’s Day.

Kat Williams will be at our library on Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 AM to help children create a paper tissue flower to give someone on Valentine’s Day. You must be registered to attend this special craft event. Call the library at 937-987-4200 to register.

Three new holiday craft bags for children are available for checkout while supplies last. They include a hand tree with hearts, a love bug, and a red bear. Craft bags include a related library book that can be shared with children before being returned. We also have an assortment of coloring and puzzle pages that can be picked up to work on during your library visit or to take home.

We would also like to invite all ages to stop by the library in the next two weeks to make a Valentine’s Day card for family or friends. Just ask for materials at the front desk.
