Clinton County Reads 2023
We hope that everyone is ready to participate in the 2023 Clinton County Reads program. Events will run from March 20 through April 20. Copies of our 2023 Clinton County Reads selection “The Sentence” by Louise Erdrich are available for checkout. Flyers listing program events can also be picked up at the library.
Erdich’s latest novel is narrated by Tookie, a Native American woman who puts her felonious ways behind her, gets married (to a man who, in his former life as a tribal cop, arrested her) and settles into a laidback life as a Minneapolis bookseller. After one of her most loyal customers dies but won’t go away, 2020 breaks loose with all its mayhem.
